My PT developed an issue last week where the voltage measured at the batter is 12.5 volts and the voltage at the terminal stud on the PDC is only 9 volts. I had been having an issue with intermittent over voltage (>14.5 volts) and battery not charging properly. I have replaced the and just replaced the PCM . the car will not start as the computer cannot set up on the 9 volts. I tried using a jumper cable from the positive battery to the PDC terminal and now have 12.5 volts. Should I replace the factory battery terminals which are the stamped metal type ? what is "best practice"? Thanks!
